Best New Cartoon: Flapjack
Even though The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack has "stolen" a lot of my cartoon ideas, I'm pretty sure the creators have done more with the concepts, particularly comically, than I could. I nominate the show as the best new cartoon currently running on television. (That's right "Chowder;" you may have "stolen" some of my ideas as well, but your execution has been comparatively disappointing.)

Still. I got pissed when I saw a commercial for it. I was so mad that they stole your idea.
Can't stand the grotesque animation (in the vein of Nickelodeon from the early 1990s onward -- Ren & Stimpy, that Monsters cartoon they had, Hey Arnold, DogCat, SpongeBob, Ed Edd & Eddie, etc). I can't stand grotesque animation! I don't know why they think kids like it. Apparently some kids (and some adults :p) do. I hate it. SO GROSS TO LOOK AT.
As for the plot, I'll bite my tongue. Suffice to say "Flapjack neither contributes anything new or anything entertaining to the cartoon industry in this viewer's opinion."
I love it for the Ren and Stimpy-ness and its off-kilter sense of humor. And the character design. And like Spongebob of old, Flapjack's voice actor can say just about anything and make me laugh.
Adventure!
Excellent show, I'll have to agree that it is the best "new" cartoon.
It's "CATDOG" not DogCat.
Flapjack contributes plenty to keeping his style alive in cartoons today. The voice actor(s) for him are awesome, and unlike any other character.
Sorry to hear your genius gem was jacked. I love the dark humor of this cartoon and I love that the episodes are short. I work for DISH Network and I have a busy social life so I never watch my TV at home. I just stream live programming from my Sling Adapter onto my Android wherever I'm at. People think I'm crazy because I'm laughing near to tears on the light rail, but growing up with Ren & Stimpy does that to people. :D
