Looks SOOOOOOOOOO good. I just watched up to the part that little Marjan (I'm guessing?) runs in B&W to someone in front of older, in-color Marjan. Man, my dad would love this movie, but only if it has English or Farsi audio. Believe it or not, despite all the Persian movies w/ English subs I've seen, my own dad won't stomach movies with subtitles. Figures. lol

Bummer. I think the DVD will have English VO, but the theatrical release is subtitled.

Also, this movie is AWESOME. There are moments of inspired brilliance.

did you have any thoughts about her relationship with "god" in the movie? moreover, her relationship with the "important" men in her life--specifically her father and her uncle--seemed apocryphal to me. While perhaps her relationships with the god-figure and with her flingy boyfriend seemed, at least to me, authentic and likely. any thoughts on if "god" plays a significant role in the movie?
