Guitar Zero

ATTN: LOCAL WII OWNERS

Two days ago, I was perusing Good Will and found 2 Guitar Hero III wii editions priced $50 each! These things retail for $90 dollars, the controllers are alone $80, and the set is difficult to find brand new. I was mad not to buy them. If I was an avid ebay or craig's list user, I could have made a cool $100 profit easy. Alas.

Reasons for not buying:

* Not an avid ebay or craig's list user
* Already own Guitar Hero III for xbox360
* Saving money for Super Smash Bros Brawl next week
* Didn't want to spoil some needy kid's treasure -- notice this reason is at the bottom of the pile :(

But if by some stroke of dumb luck, those sets are still at Good Will, I'd urge any local Zionsville wii owners to go take advantage of this awesome deal!

Do you think we'll be able to find copies of Smash Bros? I've not pre-ordered mine (because of bad past experiences with pre-ordering the Pokemon games, where I had to go through unnecessary hassle because the stores always had plenty in-stock and I should have just bought 'em off the store shelves), but I'm getting anxious now that we're nearing closer to the promised day. The one thing I think I've got over all of the little snot-year olds is that the release is March 9 -- a Sunday -- and most parents in Zionsville:

a) have to go to church on Sunday and will drag their kids along with them, or
b) will not be willing to wake up at 6 in the morning, get ready, get in the car by 7, and head out to Target to secure a copy of the game

I'm not sure what to think. I got hosed the last time I pre-ordered from Target, so I won't be doing that again. But it's only 5 dollars to pre-order at Best Buy, so I may be doing that. I'll also ask about a mid-night launch, which I think EB is promoting.

But Smash Bros is tricky. Any other wii game, I'd say there will be loads. And there's no doubt Nintendo is sending huge shipments. But the demand is pretty high. If you get in early, you will probably be able to snag a copy. But if you want to be certain, I'd pre-order.
